The ScanNCut series devices use an innovative idea of combining a cutting plotter with a mechanical knife with a high-resolution scanner. It is the only construction of this type in the world! The devices can automatically recognize the outline of the printed graphics and cut the shape precisely along the outline of fabric, artificial leather, foil, paper, etc. It is also possible to cut any shapes from materials intended, for example, for applications - then the optical scanner greatly facilitates the positioning of the cutting line on the media with which we work.
Application:
Scrapbooking, i.e. artistic cutouts of cardboard. Personalization of clothes by means of applications cut from flex and flock foils and welded onto textiles. Patchwork, i.e. stitching compositions from cut-out pieces of fabrics with more or less geometric shapes (especially the confetti technique). Embroidery applications, i.e. cutting out motifs from decorative materials (inscriptions, ornaments, backgrounds) and sewing them onto textiles using the embroidery technique. Making signs and information plates with the use of letters cut from vinyl foil. Making stencils for painting decorative motifs on walls. Making templates for making inscriptions in stone using the sandblasting method.
Designing patterns
There is a large selection of figures and shapes in the plotter's cache. The selected pattern can be edited by changing its size and position. We can also design the forms to be cut on a computer in any vector graphics program or using Brother's free ScanNCutCanvas program. People who do not like or need to use computers can draw a pattern on a piece of paper, and the plotter, thanks to the built-in scanner, will recognize and cut a hand-drawn shape.
Accessories included with the plotter:
- a mat with a weak CAMATLOW12 adhesive with a cutting area of 30 cm x 30 cm;
- standard knife holder;
- standard knife;
- a spatula for selecting blanks;
- stylus;
- user manual in Polish.
