Origin Acrylics High Viscosity eco-friendly acrylic paints by Pébéo.

Origin Acrylics are eco-friendly paints, produced with an eye to environmental protection. They are high quality acrylic paints with a matte finish, in rich and vivid colors. The thick consistency of the paints allows artists to paint, leaving visible brush marks and other painting tools, such as spatulas. More than 90% of the paints consist of highly lightfast colors (except for fluorescent colors).

Oirgin Acrylics paints are excellent for applying thick textures and painting structures. When applied in several coats, they form a durable and flexible coating. At the same time, the paints maintain color intensity when thinned. The paints are suitable for use on canvas, cardboard, wood, metal, paper, plaster and stone. They can be applied with a brush, paint roller, sponge, paint spatula, stencils, painting combs.

The Pebeo Origin series of paints are mostly monopigment colors. The high concentration of pigments and their highest quality ensure color intensity and excellent lightfastness, as well as the achievement of particularly bright or deep shades that retain their brilliance and purity after mixing.

None of Origin Acrylics' paints contain cadmium. Because cadmium is a heavy, toxic metal that raises environmental and health concerns, it has been replaced with alternative pigments that reproduce the vibrant, long-lasting hues of cadmium-based paints, but without the associated risks. The paints can be mixed among themselves or with other acrylic paints. While working, they do not emit any unpleasant odors, which significantly improves the comfort of painting.

The binder of the paints is 100% recycled, this reduces the carbon footprint by 80% compared to non-recycled binder and does not affect the quality of the paint in any way. The paints were manufactured in France, using 96% European raw materials. Each paint was placed in an eco-friendly tube made of PE paper, reducing the amount of plastic by 59% compared to tubes made of plastic.

To achieve varying densities, use the appropriate products from the Origin Acrylic Auxiliares media range. Complementing the Origin Acrylic High Viscosity range are Origin Media products such as Matte Varnish, Gloss Varnish, Slow Drying Gel, Gesso and Bindex (it will dilute the paint perfectly, but will not change its durability). These products are also made with ecological practices.

Use Origin Acrylic varnish in matte or glossy finish after a minimum of 24 hours drying time. In case of a thick layer of paint, it is recommended to wait 1-2 weeks before varnishing the work. Tip: you will get the best effect by mixing matte and glossy varnish.

Tools can be cleaned with water before the paint dries. As a thinner you can use water, Bindex and other liquid media (they change the consistency of the paint).

Information about the level of opacity and the amount of pigments is provided on each tube. It is also an innovation to equip each tube with a sample of the original paint color.

Paints are best stored at a temperature of about 23°C, but never below 0°C or above 40°C and away from direct sunlight.

* Viscosity means viscosity and is a measure of the resistance to fluid flow, it characterizes the consistency of the paint, indicating its density or liquidity. The higher the viscosity (High Viscosity), the denser the consistency of the paint.
