The drawing ink set was created in collaboration with Tate Britain, the museum of British art in London.
It was designed to help you recreate the styles and techniques of top artists from around the world. Winsor & Newton and Tate were inspired to compose the set by Ithell Colquhoun, a British surrealist and esoteric artist. She used a wide range of materials and techniques, such as frottage and collage. Try drawing in Ithell's style using Drawing Inks, which are widely used by illustrators, designers, calligraphers and artists.
The set includes 6 x 14 ml inks, a wooden pen handle, 5 nibs, A5 Bristol ink paper pad.
Winsor & Newton's top quality drawing inks with extraordinary colors are recommended by calligraphy enthusiasts.
They are produced on water basis, so they are safe for health and environmentally friendly and do not emit unpleasant odor. The inks dry quickly, become waterproof when dry, and are highly transparent (except for white, black, silver and gold, which are opaque colors - they should not be mixed with other colors to prevent ink thickening). The other colors can be mixed with each other, thus obtaining a wide color palette.
The colors of the inks are vivid, long-lasting, as they are based on specially selected pigments to ensure the best possible results. Recommended for cartoonists, designers and illustrators. For application with brush, stylus, pen. Ideal for drawing, calligraphy, letter writing, decorating wedding invitations, greeting cards, etc.
