Kaweco's original design redefined.

The new Kaweco Original pen series impresses with its elegant lines and clear design. In particular, their matte appearance adds incredible exclusivity. The minimalist design of the writing instruments works wonderfully with a body made of solid aluminum, chrome-plated elements and highly scratch-resistant anodizing.

There are five different nib sizes to choose from, ranging from extra-thin to extra-wide. While the extra thin nib (EF) is particularly good for fine and delicate writing, the extra wide nib (BB) is often used for large, expressive signatures. For beginners, we recommend the medium nib size (M). All nibs are manufactured in Germany.

While the basic shape of the pens was based on writing instruments from the late 1950s, the octagonal shape breathes the DNA typical of Kaweco products into the original. In particular, the clip located on the cap makes this writing instrument clearly recognizable, as it has a convex shape unlike other Kaweco series.

Thanks to the optimal length of the barrel, there is enough space in the pen for a large standard Kaweco converter. It can be screwed into the holder thanks to a special thread. Thus, in addition to refilling the pen with Kaweco ink cartridges, you can also fill the pen with jar inks. Kaweco Original is exquisitely balanced, so it is perfect for long writing, even without the cap on. When traveling, changing offices or meeting rooms, the pen can be securely attached to a pad, notebook, calendar or shirt pocket, using the clip.

To match your fountain pen to your needs, Kaweco offers eleven colored inks in cartridge form or in jars, as well as suitable converters for drawing ink. All Kaweco 060 nibs can be used with this fountain pen.
