Fimo gilding foil by Staedtler in the form of metallic sheets.

The foil is perfect for decorating any type of surface. Decorated surfaces should be evenly covered with a thin layer of gilding glue or Fimo primer. When the glue layer becomes transparent, we put a sheet of foil on it and smooth it with a brush. Gently remove the remains of the foil with a soft brush. Gilding should be protected with Fimo varnish or alcohol-based varnish. Water-based varnishes are not suitable for covering gilding, because the foil is then oxidized.

How to use: Apply a thin coat of Fimo Size evenly on the surface. When the glue becomes transparent, place the sheet on the surface and smooth with the brush. Remove the excess of foil with a soft brush. Use alcohol-based varnish to secure. Do NOT use water-based varnish (may cause the oxidation of aluminum foil).
