Magic Art fine flake gold decorative foil from Rico Design.
Gold flake foil is ideal for giving a shiny finish to greeting cards, diplomas, business cards, vignettes, wedding invitations and many other projects using paper. The foil is perfect for decorating many surfaces including: wood, glass, paper, canvas, styrofoam, plastic, wax, ceramic, terra cotta, foil, metal, stone and leather.
The foil will add a gorgeous metallic finish to your artwork without the need for hot foiling! Foil sheets are extremely easy to use and produce a stunning effect, and can be used together with glue, paste and applied using the dry brush technique.
Cover the decorated surface evenly with a thin layer of gilding glue. Then apply the foil particles on it and smooth it with a brush. The remains of the foil are gently removed with a soft brush. Gilding should be protected with varnish or alcohol-based varnish. Water-based varnishes are not suitable for covering gilding, as the foil is then oxidized.
