Glossy Varnish by Schmincke is a final varnish with UV protection.
It is particularly suitable for protecting acrylic paintings, inkjet prints and photos. The varnish is fast-drying, elastic, resistant to aging and does not yellow.
Shake well before use. The varnish should be sprayed at room temperature, moving the can from side to side and from top to bottom, holding it at a distance of 30-40 cm from a vertically placed or slightly inclined and completely dry object. Changing the spray direction should be done away from the painting.
Varnish should not be applied until the paint is completely dry. For thinly applied acrylic paints, this can be done as early as 72 hours. For paints of paste consistency, it is better to wait one or two weeks before applying varnish. The dried varnish layer remains soluble in turpentine substitute or varnish remover for a long time.
A clogged spray head is best cleaned with acetone. Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F). Individual pre-testing is required.
