Liquitex Modeling Paste for acrylic and oil paints.

This Light modeling paste increases opacity, adds texture and is ideal for sculpting, sanding and building 3D texture. Can be used for building depth in layers, painting or mixing with paint (may lighten some colors due to high opacity). Provides an even, matte finish. When combined with acrylics or artist oils, it does not change their color.

The paste should be used only on rigid substrates and applied with a paint brush or spatula. To make a colored paste, add a dab of paint in the color of your choice. To obtain a three-dimensional texture, apply layers (each no more than 2 cm thick), allowing each layer to dry. If cracks appear, fill them with another thin layer of paste. Make sure the paste is completely dry before sanding or carving. Once dry, paint the surface with acrylics, oils or other media. It can be handled like clay - to get the desired texture, remove the lid to allow the water to slowly evaporate.

For use as a primer - apply a thin coat to a stiff surface with a spatula, brush or roller, let dry, sand smooth and repeat as needed. For an absorbent substrate, mix 1 part modeling paste with 3 parts Liquitex gesso, apply, let dry, sand smooth and repeat as needed.
