Fabric Medium Liquitex for fabrics.
Makes acrylic paint more adherent, flexible and usable on all types of textiles.
Medium improves the application and mixing of acrylics on textiles and unprimed canvas. Improves adhesion, flexibility and reduces stiffness of dried paint. It lowers the viscosity of thick paints, increasing their fluidity and ensuring an even and smooth application. It also extends the life of acrylic paints without affecting their stability. It also maintains their archival quality. Once dry, fabrics coated with the medium can be machine washed or hand washed.
For best results mix 1:1 with Soft Body acrylic paint, add more medium if using Heavy Body paint to achieve desired consistency. For watercolor effects, mix medium and paint 5:1. Stir gently to avoid foaming - if bubbles appear, wait a moment for bubbles to rise and disappear.
Apply the medium with a brush or roller, applying a thin layer to avoid cracking. Paint mixed with medium fixes itself - no pressing required.
