Medium for acrylic paints Basics Acrylic Liquitex.

Makes paint color iridescent without affecting its stability. Slows drying time, so you can create more refined works. Medium dilutes thick paints, maintains adhesion, durability and archival quality.

The medium is fully miscible with all Liquitex Basics and Professional Series products. It can be diluted with water up to 30% - distilled water gives best results. Mix the medium with the paint to achieve the desired iridescent effect and consistency. Make long, even strokes, covering the surface from top to bottom and moving from one side to the other. As you apply, pay attention to any air bubbles that form and smooth them out immediately. Apply up to three thin coats, giving each coat at least three hours to dry. Medium may temporarily lighten paint colors until dry. Do not use with media or paints other than acrylic.
