Caran d'Ache is expanding its range with the launch of Neoart 6901, the first wax-oil pastel to meet the ASTM D-6901 standard.
Continuing its tradition of innovation, Caran d'Ache offers pastels that allow you to create nomadic, spontaneous and vivid works of art that will stand the test of time. This is a new standard in the world of pastels, combining professional quality with a passion for creativity.
With a unique combination of wax and oil, Neoart pastels offer unparalleled color intensity and exceptional lightfastness, lasting up to 100 years! Neoart pastels combine the softness of wax with the richness of oil to create a unique texture that delights professionals and art enthusiasts alike. The pastels' lightfastness has been tested in the extreme conditions of the Arizona desert, ensuring their durability and resistance to fading for decades.
The rich color palette consists of 48 colors developed using 44 finely ground pigments, selected for purity, intensity and excellent UV light resistance. The range includes 34 LFI-certified (excellent lightfastness) and 14 LFII-certified (very good lightfastness) colors. The range includes up to 21 single-pigment colors guaranteeing color purity: 001, 495, 009, 811, 542, 035, 185, 182, 671, 661, 662, 112, 585, 580, 070, 061, 850, 030, 530, 010, 240.
The pigment content of Neoart pastels is as high as 75%, making them the most intense pastels in the Caran d'Ache range. The pastels are characterized by their mono- and bi-pigment content, and the entire color range is based on at least 44 different pigments. Thanks to this, Neoart guarantee extraordinary purity and depth of color, which stand out from other products available on the market.
Thanks to the octagonal shape and high pigment content, working with Neoart pastels is comfortable and precise. The product is dedicated to both professional artists and art students who want to achieve excellent quality in their works.
