Have you ever wondered which pencils are the softest on the market? Derwent Colorsoft pencils are among the top softest pencils in the world! They are much softer than the buttery Prismacolor Premier or Caran d'Ache Luminance. Even a gentle stroke of graphite on the paper provides an incredibly expressive line in a very intense color. Despite the fact that Coloursoft pencils are so soft, they can be tempered very sharply without the risk of cracking and chipping of the graphite. Thick and solid graphite with 4 mm diameter ensures comfortable work and guarantees high-quality drawing.
Colorsoft's are the one of the best lightfast and acid free crayons for coloring. Their colors blend perfectly with each other, which allows you to create a very smooth tonal gradation. The bright shades of the crayons will remain visible even on a colored surface, providing an intense trace. Crayons work well both for drawings of precise details and delicate sketches. What's more, they will be perfect for creating strong patches of color as well as subtle halftones.
The crayons blend wonderfully and the subsequent layers overlap perfectly. You can easily cover them with another color, or smear the color with a lighter shade to make the coverage even better, and the transitions between shades smooth and soft.
