White Gesso made of the highest quality acrylic resin.

The primer has an excellent level of pigmentation for maximum covering power. It gives a matte white, opaque finish that provides a professional, archival base to help preserve the longevity of your work. The primer is fast-drying and opaque, perfectly stiffening canvases and creating optimum absorbency for the application of acrylic and oil paints. It dries to create a flexible substrate suitable for acrylic and oil painting. Makes a great surface for preliminary charcoal or pencil drawings. When applied correctly and under the right conditions, professional gesso will last for generations.

Apply gesso undiluted or diluted with 25% water. Apply a thin coat with a wide, flat brush and allow to dry for at least 24 hours before painting. For a smoother base, sand the surface and reapply gesso. If using gesso as a base for oil paints, apply 2-4 coats and sand each coat between applications. Add paint to create a custom shade - Soft Body Acrylics work great.
