Kuretake Gansai Tambi Metallic II Limited Edition are traditional, handcrafted Japanese watercolor paints with an intense shimmer and exceptional coverage. Thanks to the presence of metallic pigments, they reflect light beautifully on both light and dark paper.

They are characterized by a high pigment concentration and a velvety smooth, creamy consistency. They dissolve instantly upon contact with water, are easy to pick up with a brush, and spread evenly across the surface. Produced using traditional methods similar to those used in the making of Sumi ink sticks, they create soft, ink-like gradients. The colors are rich, deep, and more opaque than most Western watercolors. They blend well and look striking on dark backgrounds.

Perfect for watercolor techniques, illustration, sumi-e painting, and etegami. The paints are vegan—free from honey and ox gall—and certified by ACMI AP, confirming they contain no toxic substances and are safe for use by children.
