Michael Harding brand oil paints are the result of a commitment to producing art materials of the highest quality.

When Harding attended art college in London, he tried to reproduce a surface as perfect as that of Rembrandt's works. However, these qualities were not achievable with commercially available oil paints; they seemed almost a completely different medium to him.

Therefore, Harding exhaustively researched the methods and techniques used to create the oil paints of the old master painters and began to create his own based on them. In time, Harding succeeded in creating and reproducing the colors and properties of the oil paints of the old artists.
