Safflower oil for water-miscible oil paints, increasing their fluidity and transparency.

Safflower oil dries more slowly than linseed oil. Due to its extended drying time, it is recommended for use in the upper layers of paintings. Safflower oil also does not yellow, making it best suited for the final stages of painting. When mixed with water, safflower oil makes the oil paint richer. Additionally, it makes brushstrokes less visible. This medium enhances fluidity, gloss, and transparency, while prolonging the drying time of the paint.
