Pastel Pencils Conté à Paris contain high levels of pigment with high lightfastness. They are free of wax and oil and are perfect for creating fine and careful details.
Dry Pastel Pencils are the perfect companion to Soft Pastels. If you want to draw details on small and medium formats, Pastel Pencils will work better than Soft Pastels because their core is harder, with slightly less pigment. The unique diameter of the Conté à Paris Pastel Pencil core (5 mm) gives you a real freedom of creation.
Unlike Soft Pastels, which are great for blending and blending colors, Pastel Pencils do not produce such spectacular effects when applied in layers. They are best used as separate colors, arranged in a patchwork fashion, side by side. They can be smeared gently to create color transitions. It is recommended to use a small amount of fixative, in order to maintain long color life.
