Medium for pouring, which is a striking technique of painting by spilling paint.

Pouring medium mixed with acrylic inks gives them fluidity and allows to create layers without cracks and air bubbles. It also provides the right consistency while ensuring that the paint retains its beautiful color. The medium provides a smooth surface, without cracks or bubbles. It lowers the density of paints, giving increased fluidity. It also extends color fastness without affecting the stability of acrylic paints, maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality. The medium is excellent for mixing with all Liquitex acrylic paints.

How to use it:

For best results, start by adding a tablespoon of acrylic paint to one cup of pouring medium (approximately 5% paint to 95% medium). Using acrylic ink or Heavy Body paint, adjust the proportions to get the desired consistency. Mix the paint and medium gently to avoid foaming on the surface. If air bubbles appear, let the mixture sit until the bubbles rise and disappear. Cracks can occur when unevenness forms on the painting. So make sure that the poured paint has an even surface when drying.
