Powertex Universal Medium fabric hardener.

Powertex is a special technique for creating permanent and three-dimensional artworks, using a special Powertex medium to harden natural materials such as fabric, paper, gauze, cardboard and leather. The medium does not only bond to plastic. This versatile water-based medium is Art & Creative Materials Institute Certified AP, which means that Powertex is a safe product for people and the environment. It is also suitable for children.

The medium can be used to create all kinds of figures, decorations, artwork, frames, paintings and jewellery. Powertex can be mixed with sand, small stones, beads, wood chips or other loose additives to create interesting textures. By combining Powertex with Stone Art medium or Easy3DFlex, you can create three-dimensional structures, pastes and structural masses and self-curing plastic masses.

Fabric is soaked in the Powertex medium and then, after thorough squeezing, the wet material is placed on the prepared framework supporting the entire structure. Once the curing process is complete, the works become durable, weatherproof and waterproof, allowing them to be placed both indoors and outdoors. Figures or other decorations that will stand outside can be protected with Powertex Easy Varnish waterproof varnish once they are completely dry. The finished project can be patinated, painted with acrylic paints or with Easy Varnish varnish, which can be combined with glitter with colored pigments.

Use: Mix the medium thoroughly, then dip the fabric into the liquid and squeeze well. Place the fabric on the pre-prepared frame and shape as desired. Leave the whole thing to dry for about 2-3 weeks.
