Pébéo's Acrylics Studio paints are water-based acrylic paints with a satin-matte finish.
These paints are suitable for both professionals and beginner artists. They are designed to work on canvas, painting boards, cardboard, wood, and metal. They retain brush or palette knife marks. You can use them pure or with acrylic mediums or Studio Auxiliaries, which further expand creative possibilities.
The colors of the paints are bright, deep, richly pigmented, and can be freely mixed together. They have a satin finish and excellent lightfastness. The paints have a thick paste consistency, are durable, strong, and flexible when dry, and resistant to deformation. The range of paints includes opaque, semi-opaque, and transparent colors. The versatile range also offers metallic, iridescent, and fluorescent effect paints.
Studio Acrylics paints with an iridescent effect are achieved from pigments called pearlescent. Pearlescent pigments consist of materials with different light refraction indices. They transmit part of the light while reflecting another, giving the paints a shiny effect. They can be used independently in the same way as standard Studio Acrylics colors.
