Liquitex Hight Gloss Varnish protects your artwork from UV damage, pollution and fading.
Fix your artwork with a layer of high gloss varnish that is transparent, breathable and durable. The 100% acrylic polymer varnish dries clear, giving you a flexible, hard surface that doesn't stick to the substrate. It enhances color brightness and saturation and regulates and unifies surface gloss. It is resistant to discoloration, yellowing and fading - caused by moisture, heat and UV radiation. Depending on the substrate, it lets moisture from the surface pass through and allows the surface to breathe. Allows easy cleaning without fear of damaging the acrylic paint coating. In addition, it has excellent leveling properties - it does not leave brush marks.
Before varnishing, make sure that the surface of the painting is fully dry (72 hours depending on the thickness of the paint layer). Make sure the room is well ventilated and free of dust and dirt. Place the artwork on a flat surface - always paint in a horizontal position. Stir gently before use. Make long, even strokes, covering the surface from top to bottom and moving from side to side. As you apply, watch for air bubbles that form and smooth them out immediately. Apply up to three thin coats, giving each coat at least three hours to dry.
