The Karmański Artistic Paint Factory is the oldest manufactory of this type in Poland. It was founded in 1894 by Jan Matejko's student, Józef Karmański. He supplemented his artistic knowledge with chemical studies, which allowed him to produce a wide range of professional paints. Initially, they were oil paints that enjoyed great popularity and were fully accepted by the artistic world. Then he introduced unusual watercolor paints to the market, which are one of the most valued water paints in the world.
Karmański watercolors are characterized by excellent lightfastness, thanks to which they do not fade over time. The paints hold moisture very well and do not dry too quickly. In addition, they are highly pigmented and spread on the surface of the paper phenomenally. They allow you to create beautiful, transparent effects valued in the watercolor technique. These paints are produced using traditional methods from selected, natural and synthetic pigments. They will be perfect for both beginners and advanced artists.
