Winsor & Newton cotton canvas is made of the selected spruce wood framing bars and and the highest quality canvas. Canvas is primed with an archival, covering primer, saturated with titanium white. Thanks to the usage of high quality primer, the canvas is suitable for oil paints (including water-dilutable paints), fast drying alkyd paints and acrylic paints. Each sub-frame is protected by cellulose film and equipped with a set of canvas stretching bars. The width of the loom slat and the type and number of reinforcements (the cross brace) are selected to provide strength and resistance to deformation.
