Winsor & Newton cotton canvases are high-quality painting surfaces designed for demanding artists. Made from carefully selected cotton canvas and solid spruce stretcher bars, they provide durability and stability during work.

The canvas surface is coated with an archival, opaque primer enriched with titanium white, ensuring excellent preparation for painting. This makes the canvases ideal for use with oil paints (including water-mixable oils), alkyd paints, and acrylics, offering good adhesion and vibrant color results.

The construction is designed for maximum strength – appropriately selected stretcher widths and reinforcement systems (crossbars or braces) ensure stability and resistance to warping. The canvas is carefully stretched, with neatly folded corners that prevent creasing and tension marks.

Each canvas is equipped with wooden wedges for adjusting the tension and is protected with shrink-wrap foil, safeguarding the surface from dirt and damage during transport and storage.
