Gesso painting primer provides excellent adhesion for oil paints, acrylics, and gouache.

It is the perfect base for creating various types of artwork on almost any surface. Once dry, it forms an absorbent layer that is ideal for both acrylic and oil paints. It can be thinned with water and applied in thin layers or one thicker coat to create interesting texture.

It offers excellent adhesion for acrylic and oil paints, and its formula makes it suitable for absorbent, clean, and grease-free surfaces such as canvas (linen, cotton, etc.), wood, plywood, cardboard, and paper. It can also be used as a primer for wall paintings on alkaline surfaces such as concrete, plaster, or brick. Gesso can be mixed with other Amsterdam gessos or tinted with acrylic paint, and once dry, it becomes completely waterproof. Tools should be cleaned with water. Apply at temperatures above 10°C and store in a frost-free place.
