Holbein Stand Linseed Oil is used in oil painting as a fixing ingredient, giving fluidity, transparency and gloss to paints. Linseed oil is thermally polymerized at 250-300°C in a closed air environment. It is very viscous, with a honey-colored consistency, yellowing slightly when dry. When mixed with paint, it forms a flexible coating that leaves no residue. It is a solvent oil with high viscosity, high transparency and gloss.
