The Drehgriffel No. 2 Rotary Mechanism Pencil by Leuchtturm1917 is inspired by the 1920s.

It features a unique design with a hexagonal and lacquered body. Its unique character is emphasized by the tapered grip zone and contrasting graphite-colored trim. The tip creates a harmonious transition to the 0.7mm wide graphite nib. The unique design of the Drehgriffel No. 2 pencil was awarded in the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2022.

The aluminum casing fits perfectly in the hand, while the metal components ensure perfect balance and an exceptionally pleasant writing experience. Manufactured in Germany, the rotary graphite ejection mechanism, when the tip is turned, opens the head and triggers the forward movement of the nib. When the mechanism is released, the grip closes and holds the graphite in place. There is also a compartment inside the body for several additional graphite nibs, which are instantly recharged when the previous one wears out.
