High-quality British Scraperboard scratchboards are used by illustrators and professional artists around the world. Their super-smooth surface allows you to work with extremely fine detail.

Scraperboard sheets are coated with a special china clay, which was then covered with opaque black paint. A sharp scraping tool engraves thin and careful lines. With it, you scrape off the black surface paint while revealing the snow-white underside. Engraving is almost as easy as drawing with a pencil, for that the results are much more spectacular.
