The Silhouette Cameo 5 electrostatic platform - black will allow you to cut your designs in thin, impermeable materials such as thin papers, vellum paper or tissue paper without using an adhesive-coated mat. This will help you avoid tearing or damaging your finished project when removing it from the mat.

The electrostatic platform, thanks to its power supply, creates an electrostatic field that is able to hold delicate and thin materials, such as thin paper or tissue paper, on the surface without the need for an adhesive-coated mat. This avoids the risk of curling or tearing even openwork projects made of delicate materials. Thanks to the use of the platform, you will also forget about the difficult and lengthy cleaning of the glue-covered mat from leftover material after cutting. All you need to do is to scrape the paper or tissue paper residue from the surface of the platform and you're done!

* The platform is designed for cutting impermeable materials. Openwork or textured sheets may not stick to its surface. For some materials and patterns, the use of an adhesive-covered mat may be necessary, in order to best stabilize the sheet. You can also further immobilize the material with adhesive tape.
