Batik is a painting technique popular in Asia (mostly Indonesia and Malaysia) that involves applying hot wax to fabric and then dipping it in dye, which dyes only the areas that are not covered by the wax.
Batik dye from Pentart is available in beautiful, bright colors. Depending on your needs, you can lighten them with batik medium. You can also create delicate pastel shades by adding just a few drops of dye directly to the medium. Compared to the traditional batik process, the application of dyes is much simpler. The paints spread very easily on the fabric, so they can be used for classic knot tying and fabric dyeing techniques, and even for creating backgrounds. The dyes are fixed by ironing, after which the decorated fabric can be washed in the washing machine.
