In May 2013, Holbein introduced to the global market an entirely new line of acrylic paints designed for artists.
The range of 113 carefully refined, saturated colors consists of colors inspired by both Western and Eastern art, specifically designed to add originality and clarity to paintings. The latest dispersion technology has made it possible to create smoother paints with better colors.
Using the finest traditional organic pigments, as well as the latest and most innovative inorganic pigments, Holbein Heavy Body Artist Acrylic paints provide users with smooth color mixing and easy color thinning.
Heavy Body acrylic paints offer a unique consistency similar to thick oil paints, extended working time, incredibly wide color selection, excellent covering power and enhanced lightfastness. It features excellent adhesion and durability that prevents paint from cracking and peeling on substrates such as paper, canvas, stone, wood, clay and metal. The paints do not dissolve in water when dry - they are completely waterproof.
Acrylic can be applied with a brush as well as a spatula, as it retains all the three-dimensionality and texture created when applying thick layers of paint.
