The A5-size (14.8 x 21 cm) notebook has a hardcover, 300g/m², decorated with one of Keith Haring's motifs. The dotted notebook has 120 pages of acid-free 90 gsm paper. The notebook is sewn and opens flat (lay flat 180°).

Keith Haring was not only an influential artist who was inspired by New York, but also an activist, fighting against the prejudice, ignorance and hypocrisy of American society.

The young Haring saturated his imagination with cartoons by Charles M. Schulz, Disney and Dr. Seuss. He redrew Mickey Mouse, Proto Cat and characters from "Fistas". However, with the encouragement of his amateur engineer-drawer father, he tried to create his own characters, his own style. From a paperboy he longed to become a cartoonist. Keith Haring penetrated the underground world of the metropolis. He succumbed to the fascination of New York, which he made the canvas for his art.
