Pébéo rectified turpentine for oil paints.
Turpentine is an oil extracted by distilling the resin of selected pine varieties. It evaporates twice as slowly as white spirit, and its matte effect is less pronounced. Rectified turpentine is used to dilute oil paints, making it easier to apply the first layers of paint on the canvas. It allows you to get the right consistency of paint, so the brush glides more smoothly on the surface.
Thanks to its properties, turpentine allows the creation of semi-transparent layers of color, called lasers, which add depth and color saturation. After finishing a job, rectified turpentine is used to effectively remove paint residue from brushes, which helps keep them in good condition. It can also be used to dissolve varnishes, both to apply them and to remove them from the painting surface.
Keep the bottle tightly closed, away from light and avoid long storage to preserve its properties.
