Masking medium for batik from Pentart. Replaces wax, used in the traditional technique of decorating fabrics. It can be used with Batik paints and other fabric paints. The surface of fabric covered with Fabric Masking Medium will not be stained during painting, so we can paint (also using stencils) different patterns. Masking Medium can be washed off the fabric even after the dyes are fixed.
Batik is a painting technique popular in Asia (mostly Indonesia and Malaysia) that involves applying hot wax to fabric and then dipping it in dye, which dyes only the areas that are not covered by the wax.
